Welcome to the San Joaquin County General Plan Update Website. In June 2008 the County began a 36-month process to update the 1992 General Plan. The General Plan guides land use, economic, transportation, infrastructure, agricultural, resource, environmental, and other decisions. The General Plan is intended to provide for orderly growth and convey the community's value and expectations for the future.
